Need help deciding on an awning

Im gonna finally pull the trigger on a roof top awning for my double cab tacoma. I am going to mount it to the OEM roof rack ( I am going to mount the brackets with wing nuts so I can make it removeable for when i am not going to use it ). My question is which length should I go with it is between these two:

Campinglabs 70" awning
ARB 49.2" awning (1250mm)

Mainly just wondering if you all think that the 70" would be too long? I was thinking to get the 70 obviously because of more shaded area, but also because I can order a mosquito netting for it.

 

Get the 70, its what I have mounted to my 08 DC.

 

The 70 looks great on NHCrewcab2008's truck, but if you (the OP) dont have a cap, then I would recommend the 48' ARB, thats what I have been looking at for my DCSB. But I need a Thule roof rack first, lol.

 

That picture helps me out a lot. It gives me an idea of hoy long the 70 is.... Mights have to get the ARB :/

 

Get the ARB 6.5ft. Its just the right size.

 

the ARB 6.5 is awesome and a great size, but for mounting on my roof might be too long. thats why i suggested the 70" campinglabs between the ARBs in sizing. now i want the 70" again looking at the netting on yours lol

 

ARB awning is a GREAT product!

Had the 6.5ft on my van one night when a wind storm came up out of nowhere. The anchors ripped right out of the ground and folded the awning backwards over the van. I was sure something was bent, broken, or tweaked - but the next morning after surveying the damage I found it held together perfectly. Amazingly tough product IMO.
