DOOMSDAY!!! Reminds me of the moron last year who got rid of all his assets in light of that day, now i wonder who will do the same at the end of this year.

Relevant = what i hear that's common is you may need to drive a few feet forward or reverse for the light to become solid. IMO if yours stays blinking you may have a code red.

Well I successfully completed the mod on the first try! Super excited for the desert test tomorrow. As the 3rd owner of the truck I don't have the owner's manual, can anyone tell me the safe/max speed while having it locked in 2wd & in 4hi? Thanks guys! Great write up, super easy to do...

I have no idea how it works with a man. trans. but would imagine you wouldn't want to go over 40 mph or 50mph in the dirt/sand , obliviously not to use on pavement, not sure but common sense always goes far...;)

Took the truck out today, worked like a charm! I only used it in sand dune type areas to test it, I woulld never try it on pavement. I read somewhere that the prerunners also have a locker, does that sound accurate? The main reason I was asking about speed while locked is because of the warning sticker on the door, it says not to operate the locker over 5mph. That just seemed like a low speed if running in 2wd or 4hi. I think in 2wd w/locker you just get stuck a little further down the road!

3" coil over suspension lift and 3" body lift on 35's.
So on the grey wire mod, when you cut the wire and attach another wire do you just leave the cut grey wire in the number 8 slot? or what?

So just take the new wire and crimp it then use it as a ground? I know this is very easy just don't want any 4wd problems

When you cut the wire -
1 end is used to add a ground wire to it.
The other end is not needed, therefor just put some electrical tape over the end and feel free to zip tie or secure it. ;)

The gray wire needs to be grounded out on the end going into the computer (where you unplug from). The other end I used electrical tape. After taking it out and using it everything works normal.
