I just bought a 2008 dcsb prerunner and would like to lift it. If i buy a set of 4" lift spindles and a 1.5" or 2" leaf pack for the rear will i need anything else? uca's? shocks? coils? Im sorry if those are dumb questions i just bought the truck and have been reading A LOT of lift FAQs and considering different types of lifts (coils, shocks, etc) and also what wopuld be an advantage of doing the spindles over lets say OME 885s and 5100s? or visa versa? I would just like to find a cheap reliable lift that will not be used for rock climbing or dune jumping just the occasional dirt road! Thanks for the help guys!!

And also if i ever would like to go higher than 4" with the spindles i could add 5100s and a small block in the rear and achieve a possible 6" correct? With the 885s and 5100s 3" is about all you can get and please correct me if im wrong!

Your exactly right with that statement. i wouldnt put a spindle lift in the Inexpensive lift category. but i would put it as possibly the absolute best 'Front' lift you can put on ur taco. Im running Camburg 4" Spindles and love them to death. you will not need to replace the UCA's, Coils or shocks with a spindle set up and you will still be able to achieve perfect in spec alignment with ur stock UCA's. if you have the cash for spindles i highly recommend going that route. And the ability to achieve a 6" non-drop bracket lift is a huge plus for us prerunner guys.

Wow thanks a lot! Im only planning on running 33s but one day might want to go 6" with 35s! And no i dont think $600 is expensive for a full frotn and rear 4" lift compared to the 3" coil and spacer kits!!

You should replace your rear shocks when adding more than an inch or youll end up over extending them and possibly trashing them. I also got longer brake lines when i lifted which you could get some long enough to handle this lif plus all the way to 6"s

Cv angles are 4x4 right? Spindles can't be used on 4x4....

I'm running Camburgs. Why go really smart lift in the front and then put something like 2" blocks in the rear? At least go AAL

You can do 2" AAL + 1" block, or just get a 3" leaf pack like the All-Pro standard springs.
