A Toyota dealership is offering me a White 09 Tacoma TRD Sport Dcab for $25,500 out-the-door and is also willing to give me $16,500 (i owe 14k exact so thats only 2500 i'd get which i am ok with) for the truck I have now (in my gallery). Seems like a good deal to me. What do you guys think?

I just bought a Magnetic Grey 09 DC Sport Prerunner with JBL, Tow Package, etc (PQ, TO, RL) for $26,700 OTD. So either it's a great deal or they are undervalueing your trade to make up the differece.

If this price includes the $2500 of equity from your trade then it's not a good deal. The average deal right now is invoice minus the $1500 rebate. In your case, this is what you should be paying OTD...

Invoice $26,000 (close to this; depends on options; also assuming you're talking prerunner since you didn't specify 4WD) - $1500 rebate = $24,500

Trade value $16,500, so you pay taxes on $8000 (difference b/t sales price and trade value). Tax = about $700; title and license = about $200

Your payoff is $14,000, so you should get $2500 to go towards the Tacoma.

    So $24,500 + $700 + $200 - $2500 = $22,900 OTD. This amount is of course excluding any GAP coverage/extended warranties/service plans you may purchase.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
$25,000 out the door. so they are selling it to you for $28,000 minus your trade.

Without the trade it's a good deal. You may be able to squeeze a few hundred more dollars out of them with a lot of effort, but if it's the truck you want I say go for it.

I'm waiting on my dealer to find that very truck in either Gray or Pyrite. Once he does I've got the same deal lined up.

The price is good, I don't know about 16,5000 for yours though, I would think you could get more, I don't know though.

I don't know, what is KBB on it?
I thought Tacomas held their value a little better.

    I wouldn't say they're low balling you.
The tax savings, in this case, probably really will (even though they always say this) equal the difference of you selling it privately.
The new truck definitely seems like a good deal though.

Not sure where you are but I just joined the forum, bought me a Blue 09 Tacoma TRD Sport Dcab with the towing package, and window tint for $24,800 OTD. Been told that was an excellent deal but I heard someone could get it as low as 24K.

yea after talking it over with my dad, I'm not gonna go for an 09 right now. Imma have to pay for school coming up and an 09 tacoma payment might hurt me. (plus insurance) and although im making good money right with the way the economy is i could lose my job at anytime. Especially working at a casino, any1 and every1 is expendable and replacable. Thanks for every1s input. And just for the record, I love my tacoma. Jus want an 09 for some odd reason.

P.S. look out for some 22" 2Crave Wheels at the end of may!
