Okay folks..it looks like i might be able to afford paint for the new body to get its sliver again..however i can't afford the stock color($350 bucks a gallon:eek:)

BUT i have two choices i think so far..

this one..more of a darker gray
    http://www.eastwood.com/ew-meteor-gray-metallic-paint-96-oz.html

and this one, a light one closer to stock but still lighter then stock
    http://www.eastwood.com/ew-chop-top-silver-plus-qt-activator-kit.html

Which do you think would look better?

I kinda like the darker one actually, think it'll go great with my black armor and wheels..but the lighter one..is so close to how it is now..

    Vote please! :D

I votes darker between the two, mostly because it'll look good IMO but since it's further from what it is now it'll stand out as unique to people who know tacos too I suppose.

:p just messin man, between the two I'd go darker orange, I mean grey. It'd look cleaner next to your armor. I had my taco quoted purely for curiousity's sake and the shop owner told me itd be about 10k for a FACTORY paint job from super white to orange on my DCLB. It'll be a while, but you heard it here first.

I had to say the lighter gray, you'd end up with a good contrasting look with your black armor and rims and I like that, even though I couldn't say for sure til it was photoshopped or something.

You should feel lucky your not using red. $350 would be for a quart.

I would be so down for this!! :anonymous:

No seriously, if I lived in Alaska and could afford a paint job, id rock it!

But between your choices... I may be crazy but the darker looks like MGM and the lighter looks like OEM Silver :spy:

I love silver because it stays... :washing: ok, Appears cleaner for longer and mods like black badges, painted valence, bhlm, etc stand out way more on a lighter color. However, its so dam popular, and because I own an mgm :humble: i vote for the darker color :D

And I could be wrong i didnt bother to check, but Im guessing that since your even getting paint in the first place its most likely a 1st gen, and if thats true, a first gen mgm look would turn eyes for sure. Plus like everyone else is saying your current mods/accessories would look sick with the darker color.

I still vote white digi cam overall though :taco: JK. I vote darker!

That darker grey looks sick with all the flake in it. That got my vote.

FYI, if you go with a paint color that is obviously different, but don't do a "complete" paint job where you tear the truck apart and do it right... Then it's a lot more obvious to a future buyer that it has been painted which leads to suspicion of a bad wreck even if it has never been wrecked...
