I told the managers here that if they are going to let the smokers take a smoke break every 15 minutes, they need to lengthen the other people's lunches by at least an hour to make up for it.

I'm about to start telling people I took up smoking just to get some fresh air a few times each hour.

It's a little different for me as my brother owns the place, but I want the other people to be able to take breaks as often as the smokers do.

or you can do what the one insurance company did. They banned smoking. You can't smoke from the time you come to work till the time you leave. Not even during breaks. They also will not hire you if you are a smoker. If you smell like smoke you can be reported and written up, potentially fired.

We thought about banning smoking on the premises but the majority of our management team smokes and the idea was quickly shot down due the inevitable drama that would follow.

We do make them all go stand by the dumpster in the very back of the parking lot, though.

It has a lot to do with the state laws. Here in Iowa they are able to say you can't smoke from the time you get to work till the time you leave work, including lunch (wherever that may be, including off site). In SD they can't restrict you from smoking offsite during lunch.

ok so ive been helping my friend with making his truck mo better. lol he drives a black 97 chevy cheyenne (silverado) extra cab. yesterday we WERE going to tint the windows lol he bought 5%. we decided that task was too difficult so we painted his bowtie black and sprayed in a bedliner. im working on the pics now.
