Going to Lawrence Welk in about 10 minutes to go ride my dirtbike, first ride on my new Yamaha YZ300 Wide ratio trans (a custom build) should make about 55 horsepower, not too bad for a 211lb bike!

Laterz, gonna burn some gas, I dont have anything to do till this afternoon, except RIDE!!! I didnt get to ride last weekend so I am going to go ride now, gotta stay in shape for racing, must ride every week or I start slowly dying inside, lol.

Didn't know you were a bike guy Jason, how did you re gear to wide ratio ? The last dirt bike I had was a CZ 400 radial barrel (most don't even know what a CZ is.:eek:) but probably the quickest bike I had in the dirt was an old Yamaha RT-1 360 that I got for free for just hauling it off some guys property where it had been left for a couple years I guess, someone had put some work into the top end tho' all ported & polished & bored too I suspect, that thing hauled ass but as you would figure a japanese bike in the '70's it handled like a wheelbarrow with a flat tire.HA!

The most dangerous bike I rode was a 400 suzuki cyclone that had around 50hp , with no flywheel to speak of you got all that horse power at about 5000-6000 rpm at once & that fucker would put you on your ass, those bikes killed more people than small pox...:D

Yeah I have been an off road rider since I was 3 years old, started racing at 12 and I had already held the 5X plate overall in Arizona by the time I became only 14 years old. I ride all the time, for example I got a CRF 450R with 23 hours on it, in less than 1 year it now has 190 hours on it, and I have 3 bikes and ride them all, so I put tons of hours my bikes.

Off-roading in pretty much any form is my first passion and hobby, but its motorcycles about 85% of the time, the other 15% is in the Jeep or my buggy (which I sold about a month ago).

I have raced in several SCORE races in Class 22 (Pro motorcycle) and also in some local District 37 and 38 races, and generally I hit the local WORCS races if they are in So Cal or Arizona (Usually in Havasu down the street from my AZ. house). Its really fun when the Nationals come to town for the Hare and hound races, you get to race with all the really fast guys from all over the US.

A CZ is an old bike for sure (the CZ400 made 42 hp which is a fking ton for back then, not to mention the lack of a good chassis, scary stuff!) , and your are correct when you say most dont even know what it is, speaking of old stuff have you ever heard of a Yamavarna? I think it was only made for 2 years and was a joint venture between yamaha and husky..plus those old Maico bikes were pretty wicked with that rotary valve had a powerband like a 200 shot of nitrous!

I normally race a CRF450r with lots of goodies and a LOT of power, but I just got finished building a Yamaha YZ250 2 stroke into a desert racer. I sent the cylinder to Eric Gorr and had him put in a big bore kit and with full porting and redoming of the head for the fuel type I will use (100 ,octane). I also tore down the motor for inspection and realized that the crank had some play on the big end, so I had to split the cases and open the bottom end in order to replace the crank with a brand new OEM one, all new bearings and seals for the crank and trans.

For the wide ratio upgrade, I did the "Desert mod" which is using an older YZ426 trans with the wide ratio gears, they fit with no modifications, so my top speed is increased by about 10mph so now I have gearing in the 100mph range.

I had a great time, the bike ran perfect, and has much more power and snap compared to before I rebuilt the motor. The only issue is that its so dry and slick out in Lawrence Welk I was slippin all over the place and almost went down a couple of times, I need to take it out the Desert to see what it can really do since I will have much better traction and I can actually ride the bike like it was meant to, instead of riding on what feels like icy ruts everywhere, and absolutely no traction, just major wheelspin and trying t not to go down.

Anyway, back to the truck forum, I forgot this isnt Thumpertalk, lol...

I have used Mr. Tint in Escondido on a few cars and they do great work. Used them on a Groupon on my wifes Civic and did the whole car for 140.00. I took my truck there and asked if they could come close to the Groupon price again and they did truck for 160.00

Hey, you should be here by now....lagger.

The Desert is a good place to bury some things that are biodegradable, is this a "perishable" product you want to bury?

HA! Sucked you into it huh ??.....:D

I stay away from detailed shit (or shit thats to be pleasing to the eye, I'm like a bull in a china shop !!! ) If its structural I'm usually ok, if it's got to be pretty, ...we're in trouble.. let us know how it goes seeing how so many have been having issues with glass installs lately..;)

Oh , theres LOTS of holes in the desert ya know.....

& not perishable anymore, hell ,it stopped breathing about 6 hours ago,
