when will you get your new diffs?

 

Thursday or Friday is what Chase said on the phone. A better question is when will I get them installed... I don't really have time during the week and I have a 3 day drill this weekend... Hopefully if they don't keep us too long I may be able to swing over to Brant's and work on them in the evening. I think I have like 3 weeks to send them the old diffs before I get the core charge, but that could be taken care of easy enough I guess. Just pull the elocker off the rear and pull the front and mail them back before putting the new ones in.

 

i hope its not a hanger! then im fucked. Ill have to reweld stuff and in that case..ill just relocate them i think.

Yea im going to try and avoid that approach i think and i wold love some Allpro Expos..But i might just bite the bulet for the Alcans.

Can anybody say 4 wheel burn outs haha. I don't think i would try/accomplish that with my KM2's. Maybe if we are feeling bored, and Brant is up for it, he has a set of stock wheels and we'll see if it can break all 4 loose. Haha. I wouldn't smoke them though, that is too much stress, plus i wouldn't want to destroy the tires. Haha. Too bad my hyundai's 23's won't fit on the Taco I would be stunned if it couldn't smoke all 4 of them. They are 155's.

Yep, i order the ARB cmka12 compressor with the diffs. Same compressor batman has. I'm just going to run it tankless though.


CV's are cheap haha. Just kidding. Yeah. It's just a cool thought mostly. We'll have to see how it does with backend.

 

Great little compressor! I enjoy my setup. It comes in handy everyday.

 

Haha, Monte was talking about leafs and yes those are the ones I have, They get amazing flex. and yeah when I said BDOG I forgot that Montes SN was Blackdawg and i was talking to you! So now I say, you are lucky Mr. Brady, to rock the locker!

 

Can't wait to join the ranks of the fully locked! And gear down a little bit. Only going to 4:56's. I don't really plan on going than 35's. If I do go bigger down the line I will just throw in a tacobox

If you have the cash I would do the front locker as well, unless you just don't plan on getting one ever. I already have the rear e-locker, and my option for the 4.88's on the front was either pay $400 for the larger carrier to house the gears, or pay $850 for the locker to house the gears. If you don't have the extra $450 I would just wait cuz they will have to take it all apart again to install the locker at a later date, and the $400 you paid for the larger gear carrier will have gone to waste when you swap it for the locker.

Although if you do the 4.56 thick gears you won't need a new gear carrier, but again they will just have to take it all apart to put the locker in and then put it back together. Might as well just do it all at once the first time to save the money.
