    Thats the smart way to play, Ray, let her paint her own picture to the judge, the best thing you can do is keep your nose clean and keep record of how much cash you had put into that account and how much she took out.

    Doesn't that mean you do too though?

    This is another huge reason that I will never have a shared bank account with anyone - even when the girlfriend and I get married. The girlfriend feels the same way.

    We will either just keep our separate accounts and have one of us be in charge of paying the bills, or we'll open a separate account that all of the bills come out of.

    Way too much power on both sides if the account is shared. She's more frugal than I am, thus why I don't quite have the savings I wish I had at 25, but still.
