    To the busy/overworked parents of TW; here is the small dilemma. We have 15 minutes until she (wife) has to leave to take our 4 yr old to swim class. Kid is watching cartoons. ( Don't bother flaming about being irresponsible, blah blah, married couples with kids understand the value of a few private minutes) We go to our room to "change", with the "we will be right there to leave for swim class" statement. Fast foward........."changing clothes" , little feet come running. Wife holds the door while I zip it up; quickie is over, unfinished. So...to my question, What do other parents do to get 5 or 10 minutes alone? Any smart answers to the knock-knock-knock to get a couple more minutes...or seconds, for that matter?

    I'm hoping the girlfriend and I still work at the same company if we ever decide to have kids.

    It's easier to find 5-10 minutes when one of you has an office that is inside the server/data room with a very loud cooling system directly adjacent to it. :D

    How do you have time to type about it here yet you don't have time to change clothes?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    With that being said, do it while your kid is taking a nap.
    2 am is only 2 hours before my alarm. I could, she won't....ever. Bedtime is 8 pm, but she is a tough sleeper, not out till 10 or so, and a very light sleeper. We get a date night once a month or so where my parents keep our daughter, which gets a HUGE thank you from my wife and I.
    Daughter is at daycare all day, we both work fulltime, I'm doing 70 hrs/wk. And I have time to type on here because neither of them are home. Nap time is near non-existent, but we do it when we get the chance.
    I'm right there with you. My daughter is 1 1/2 and it's tough finding some time. Seems like quickies are about it unless it's nap time. The problem with nap time is I try to be productive, my fiance takes a nap (not going to happen when she is tired) or one of us heads out for some alone time. We still haven't found a good solution, but I'm more than happy to let my fiance go out and drink with her friends, if you know what I mean...
