EXACTLY. I encourage drinks with the girls. Always ended with, "It's quite ok to wake me up when you get home hunny" "In fact, please wake me up"

I dig the humor, but it's out of the question. We feel bad giving her Benedryl for her allergies (but we are guilty of taking advantage of the quite time)

LOCK THE DOOR! Seriously be firm when she is knocking on the door and tell her to go watch TV and that you're still busy and will be out in a minute. As long as her surrounding environment is safe and it is just a "quickie."
The health of your relationship directly and significantly affects the health of the overall family unit so this time is important.
Right when we get home from church on Sundays to "go change" is a personal fave.

Does your Daughter have a favorite show on TV? We throw on something that will keep my 3yr and 5yr olds entertained to get a quickie in. Plus we lock the door and if the boys come down we just tell them to go back to watching TV and mommy and daddy will be out there in a minute. Usually works pretty good.

Always had a paradoxical affect with my kids. Benadryl wired em and sudafed zonked em.

I respect your opinion, and we try. But have you tried doing it with a kid screaming and throwing a temper tantrum right outside the door? It is in fact Anti-viagra. lol

True dat. Sometimes this technique has to wait until they're a little older. My kids had the ability to throw a fit until they barfed. Talk about an anti-aphrodisiac.

She is not satisfied with that, and her favorite show is not enough to keep her fixed.
    Nope, we are semi-normal. Benedryl=zonked, sudafed=wired

Haha, I'm the exact same way. Although I sometimes regret getting woken up in the morning when my daughter decides 7 am is an awesome time to wake up.

TV shows only last 10 or so minutes at the most. Usually she is looking for one of us within 5 minutes.

Funny story, my mom randomly came over and took my daughter for a walk one day, so we were all alone in the house. Unfortunately my fiances grandma decided to stop by during that time. When my mom got back she was annoyed at the grandma and said to me, "I came over here so you and Katelyn can have some time to yourselves. Too bad Jeanne ruined it." Man my mom's awesome sometimes.

    1. Bath time, your kid will be fine playing in the tub.
    2. have them pack their bag for for swim class goggles, nose clip, flip flops, towel, etc.
Either one will give you some time just not a lot. My old trick

7 am? try 6 or 630...like a clock, but only on saturday and sunday. During the week she is a little bed-bum. We live far enough from my parents that they won't come over without calling first, same as G-parents. Our neighbors on the other hand, seem to have an uncanny sense to knock at the most inopportune times.

It won't work the first time but after you do it a couple times (lock the door), your kid(s) will know that you'll be right back and not to bother you because pounding on the door and screaming doesn't get them what they want.

Otherwise, hire a sitter, have a date night and have at it in the back seat

The TRUCK is the vehicle of choice for date nights. We do get our chances, just not often enough, as it goes. Never tried sex while driving, just RH and i swerve with just that.

She has not mastered the "hiding" and staying hidden thing yet haha. There are some good ideas and thoughts in here though.

Wish I had a good answer. Anyway we usually wait until our daughter goes to bed. But I gotta say that hasn't been working in my favor lately because my wife is 7months pregnant and she just ain't feeling too sexy this time. I'm sure with two I'm gonna have to get creative so I'm looking forward to this thread.
