What the hell is wrong with people. If I witnessed somebody getting raped I'd probably beat the motherfucker to death. How the hell can anybody just ignore it? Humanity fucking disgusts me.

Too bad she didn't have a nice 357 Ladysmith in her pocket. She could've ended it all right for the dumb bastard right then and there. I agree with you, if it had been any "real" man, that asshole would've spent the next month in ICU.

I'm not sure what to say about this.

On one hand...Personally...I'd step in and stop it.

On the other...Tactically..If you are not equipped for a situation (like you are pussy, or a small guy, or not armed) you are putting yourself in harms way...and yes..that's a choice.

I think it's sad there wasn't anything more done...but it is a choice.

The wrong damn choice. Rapists attack women to feel powerful, in all likelyhood he would not have stuck around if confronted. Either way, you have to try, I mean, I would rather take a serious ass whoopin than stand by and let some poor woman get raped.

    Of course, I always carry....either a CCW or a good knife.:infantry:

If my friends or family had found out I let something like that happen, they would BEAT MY ASS!!!!

I hear ya...and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't take an ass whooping in most cases. I wouldn't want to be the guy who stood around when that happened.

Sadly not everyone is as forward leaning as we are...and self preservation is a very strong instinct if you haven't thought about it or trained to the opposite.

Too true. At the very lease I'd go Bruce Willis Sin City on his ass.

I was about to say the same thing... I would rather take an ass-whooping than live with the fact that I let that happen. I'm willing to bet that he would have run off if chased anyway. Still...

I can see how a person would say to themselves, "I've pushed the 'call police' button, but I'm not going over there. I'm unarmed and I don't know if that guy has a gun/knife. I sure hope the cops get here soon."

Speaking of which... how long did it take the cops to get there? I've been to NYC many times and there are always cops in the subways. I realize it was late (early), but you'd think there would have been a quicker response.
