    It looks a bit off as I matched it to the shade part so that it went on a little darker.

    Its also because of the way the light is hitting the grille

    THis looks a little better

    I'm so torn between the black and color matched surround.

    I think the color match maintains that desired badass look but also adds a touch of refinement.

    If I keep my 98 bumper on then I'll dye the valence black and either color match those two stupid pieces of chrome or black them out too.

    If I put on a 97 bumper then I'll color match the chrome bumper portion and dye the lower valence black (kind of like the 01-04 color matched look)

    6 inch suspension lift, 3 inch body lift (coming off soon), TJM bumper with winch, 35" Toyo A/T, Safari snorkel
    Personally, I like the black but the color matched looks sweet too. Nice looking truck either way! How much lift do you have on it? I just bought my truck and it has about 9-10" of lift on it with 35s but I think that might be a little too high...just not sure what I need to fit 35s on it.

    nothing, all stock expect got a OE replacement air filter K&N.
    i had my dark red and black except the front grille. i have that as chrome. thats the only thing i keep it chrome, otherwise it will be all black.

    sorry, this picture was before i painted the oem fender flares black. i also left the tacoma decal under the side mirrors chrome.
