Help Please ! dash light Problem

Okay my 2007 toyota tacoma ive had for 3 months just turned over 50,000 miles, with regular oil changes every 3000 miles,
and i noticed my MAINT REQD light came on just the other day.
and idk why.
took it to the shop they plugged into computer and nothing came up! problem wise did over all scan 2 times, nothing only trouble shoot was passenger air bag malfunction...
would that set off my light?? ive searched the Owners manual to find nothing
Any help would be nice!!

 

Did the light come on before last oil change? I'm thinking maybe it wasn't on and didn't get reset.

 

no it came on after.. and the regular guy to change it said he reset the settings, i watched him do it

not from my tacoma but same light comes on.

Okay. Yeah we don't have the the Maintenance Required light in Canada.

i reset mine sat cause it came on

 

I Fixed it ! idk what the hell it was, but i just reset the guage.. system...
but what about my air bag failure that makes me feel good when i have beautiful girls riding with me and an accident comes along

 

Yeah don't worry, it's just a light to let those dummies know that you need to change your oil, or do maintenance. It doesn't come on for any other reason, except after 5k miles every time. Some times it'll flash and go away just to let you know that the maintenance due is coming. To reset the light it's easy, stick key into ignition, hold the tack/speedo button down. then turn key to on position but don't start engine. wait for the tack to reset, and then your done.
