Yep. Snapped the All Pro UCA at the weld. Switched to the TC UCAs after that.

This is gonna sound counter-intuitive but I avoided the Icon UCAs because they're unbreakable.

I like the idea of building fuses into the truck...points of anticipated breakage. If I'm in a situation where a TC UCA might break, I'd prefer that happen than have it hold together and have a coilover or LCA take a dive instead.

Under certain circumstances breakage can be inevitable so I try to keep it to easily-replaced, easily-carried parts.

    Everything's relative.

Blowing out an Icon coilover with the stock UCA intact definitely sounds like a defective shock. I've never heard of one giving up the ghost, so props to the guy for giving the rig a thorough bashing!

I had an Icon UCA in my hands when I was at Kartek a few weeks back. Those things are niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

Wow -- an old thread got resurrected. :)
I missed this post so I'll respond to it now. All-Pro caught wind of what happened and actually contacted me to make the situation right. They go out of their way to stand behind their products and I am happy with the way they handled everything.

Was that REALLY necessary?? This thread was dead before you joined the board...and you resurrect it to make a comment like that??

allpro SUCKS ! There customer service is crap and they are crap and dont tell u anything before u buy and even if u asked before hand, they will not hold up for any of their mistakes, they down rt lied to me, i know this for a fact no need to go into a long drawn out thing to explain why, if u beleive me then fine if not, fine.
Light racing does not squeak because no ball, and they are strong as an ox. and They take care of their customers without causeing them to waste another penny on alignments , shipping , etc. nuff said.

Well then I guess that settles it. It really wasn't Jon that went out of his way to find my number and call my cell phone to find out what happened, how it happened, and make things right by me. Who knew?

    New truck....so nothing yet
I was reading on a couple other forums (I know, I cheated on you folks) and the LR UCA's have been getting pretty good reviews. The newer ones seem to be doing well. Hard to beat the price. I may try them after I get my new bilsteins.
