    Can you determine if the play is coming from within the axle or does it seem to be the axle is moving within the diff? If you can narrow that down, then you should have a better answer to your question. Without seeing it first hand it's kinda hard to narrow one or the other out.

    I have a feeling its normal, the up and down seems ok, the in and out seems like the axle moving, but i will keep an eye out for a 4wd taco to come in and see how it compares.

    i know they are supposed to have some play. CVs are part of my pre-wheeling check, so i've looked at them many a time, but they seemed to have more than normal when i did the check yesterday.
