toyota has decided to replace my lemon DC tacoma. but ive run into a snag. i had found and test drove a replacement for mine. it was a 2009 DC blacksand mica with graphite interior 4x4 automatic. it was base model just floor mats. the dealer i found it at sold it before toyota finished my deal. now the only other one they can find that is the exact same is in denver colorado. i can have that one but im in vegas and i cant test drive it. should i just get it or should i try to find another color combo here in town i could test drive?

I would think that they all drive the same. i drove another Tacoma identical to mine beore dciding on the purchase. Never drove mine until the paperwork was done. If the specs are the same, i say go for it.

But, he already drove another of the same year. i suppose a test drive would put my mind at ease if I had a bad experience.

true the reality is that you are going to get a great truck without driving. If it is another lemon:
    1. you luck SUCKS
    2.Toyota will replace it

Even if it is a lemon, will one be able to tell from just a test drive? Unless of course it is blowing smoke and the axles fall out of it going around the block.

I never got to test drive mine... they had to order it and I didn't drive it until the paperwork was done. Brand new with only 3 miles on the odo when I drove it off the lot.

If it's in Denver and you in Lost Wages, how would they get it to Lost Wages? Have it driven or trailered? I'd more worry about someone else putting that many miles on my truck.

Good luck with the new one.

That is another concern, I certainly wouldn't want someone driving my as-of-yet unssen truck across a couple states.

Chances of getting a second lemon Toyota are slim and none.

I didn't drive the truck I bought... I had driven others while making my decision... The one I bought had 6 miles on it and had not even been put out for sale, yet...
