Drove past the dodge dealership during lunch... stopped in when I saw this bitch sittin' there:
    45b4c8daada7d1a9993c968db1ae43e1x_826884a89339eeacce116df20013968b0dc61cd6.jpg

    link to more pics: http://www.olathedodgechryslerjeep....sas-City-b3dd51de0a0a0002003219d317843287.htm

I've seen it there for awhile for a promotion but this time it had price stickers on it. I was crawling around underneath just to check out what it had under it when naturally a salesman came strolling over to... well sell it. He started talking up how good of a deal it was "$39000 for a $63000 truck" and was complimenting mine as well. I told him I just stopped to check out what it had for guts and this smooth bastard had me considering trading my truck for it... of course he was putting the rush on me "you gotta trade your truck now cause every mile over 90k it depreciates sharply" and made it sound like I could qualify for great financing since I own it outright. He even told me I'd have bitches phone numbers in my wipers every time I parked it somewhere :D and that I could jump lots of curbs in it (I had to stifle laughter at this blatant mall crawling reference).

Anywho he invited me to come back and go for a ride after work... and "maybe he'd even let me drive it". He's really got me thinking about it... what are you guys' opinions on it? I don't know if it's the "ram runner" or not... is that even in production yet? This seemed like it had most of the parts from the one in the video on the last page except the wrap obviously and a different front bumper I think. Help talk me out of doing something incredibly stupid here...

Looks like the RamRunner to me. Ive seen a lot of pics of it. Honestly, Id take it over a Raptor and day of the week. If you think you can afford it and actually use it, Id say go for it dude!

Haha I just re read my post... My sarcasm was not very well conveyed. I'm not really considering it... I mean of course I thought about it for a few seconds but then I looked back at my little taco beaming back at me and a tear came to my eye at the thought of ever getting rid of it. I think I will go back there though to see if he'll let me drive it... Have a friend hide at a pre determined intersection so we can snap a pic of me up on 3 wheels and the salesman shitting himself. I think I'll also have them appraise my truck (he offered to at lunch) just to see at what ridiculously low number they wanna give me for it. I do agree that it's way cooler than the raptor... But I'm impartial to anything but fords already.

I think they must've made several of the wrapped ones for promotions... This dealer had 2 of them and one is sold. I found that same article... $63000 my ass. Unless that wrap was another $14k that salesman is full of shit.

You can but most Long Bypasses already have a bump zone area. I know my Fox Tripples are setup with a 4" bumpzone

Well you need some type of bump stop on your truck. Like some cheap polymer ones or rubber so you don't bottom out the shock just in case you leave the tubes open too much or don't have enough valving. Bypasses are too spendy to mess up.

As long as you have some little rubber stop on there you should be fine, I've put my rear suspension through hell with just rubber stops in the rear and never even feel it touch them.
Depends on what you call off-roading though, If your just asking about cruising around on some fire roads or trails, it would probably be fine
It also depends on what bottoms out first on your truck, haha

I can afford bumps for the rear of my truck right now either so I'm gonna just weld in cans and use a chunk of 2" tube with a rubber bump on the end lol

I've had deavers on my truck for 6 years and I just finally put hydro bumps on the rear, honestly I can't even tell much of an improvement!

With a bump zone on a bypass, you can make it so stiff that it bends the shaft before it bottoms out

I have 3.0x18" radflos with 4" bumps out back. I have to do something really stupid to even get the bumps to touch. Sometimes they will stroke about 2" on hard g outs, but I've never bottomed it out. Point is, rubber bumps will be fine if you are tuned right.
