    I got a deal on a set of 4 brand new 5100's for $350 local pickup. Should I go for it, or can they be found at a better price?

    Good deal? Also, is it okay to run these at 2.5" with stock springs? TIA

    you should be good on the stock spring. i havent heard anyone say you shouldnt run them. the only downside i could think of is that they might wear out a little bit faster. and when i mean faster, i mean like a few thousand miles less out of them, not too much

    Its very nice! They designed it to look like the One from the 60's. You may :spy: carbs but its actually fuel injected! Carbs are housings for the injectors! Pretty cool.

    I have heard that setting them to 2.5'' with stock springs is not the best thing you can do. (Like others have said, they may wear more quickly) Most of the guys who run them with stock springs (myself included) set them to 1.75'', and with the TSB AAL, it sits almost perfectly level.

    Mine with Bilstein 5100's all around (fronts at 1.75'') and TSB AAL:

    Oooh... I thought it was the old dual carb setup! I like man, I was looking at one recently but someone bought it out from under me. :(

    99 4Runner springs all around: 1" over factory.
    I agree. If you go 2.5 up front without a new leaf pack in the rear, not only will you wear out your springs, but you'll be higher up front. Also known as Bro-lean:eek: Don't get me wrong, some people like it. When higher up front, I think the truck looks funny/rediculous. Level looks really good.

    Start out with the 5100's at 2.5" with the stock springs, then when you can swing it, replace the springs with Eibach's set at 0.85". The difference in ride quality is immense.

    LOL My truck already has a bro-lean...which I am desperately trying to eliminate, yet get some clearance at the same time. My front tires still rub the cab mount, and some plastic (I've trimmed probably 2 sq feet of plastic so far). I just need that extra bit so I can go full lock left and right. Doing the chop, but I'm just worried about rubbing stuff when wheeling because when the suspension is compressed I can't turn at all or I will rub.

    Good info though...I'm going to buy the AAL first, then go with the 4 billys soon after.
