How do you like the rear view mirror bracket?

I need to check my Tacoma but I think my alarm system has a monitor located where the bracket would be located. I have an aftermarket alarm system

I had the same problem in my 66 Vette with the L72. The torque is amazing with the L72.

I like it although I think the field of vision (out the back) is a little less, but that's ok. I can see more out the front

evening all: really dont go to too many car shows, usually go to local cruises.
still got to go over those darn valves, then should change oil, and should change rear fluid. once the valves are set right, then can tweek timing, carb., etc. THEN CAN CLEAN WHAT "WAS" A CLEAN ENGINE, AFTER ADJUSTING VALVES. I have the little clips to stop the oil from really shooting all over, but they don't totally keep it from running down over the motor.
then there's the tacoma, that should have all the fluids changed.
then there"s the "BOATS", and the lawn, and the doors that I should fix!
as posted before, way too many projects!!! Or maby too many naps!

If you have a sizeable IRA you might want to look into taking some out rather than a refi.

IRA's not that big... I'd get a better interest rate and go down to a 15 yr mortgage :notsure: Was thinking about a re-fi even without the screened porch

    Hi sue!
    can't really help on this.
If intrest rate is that much lower, it may pay to refinance.
Once I owned my house though, I would never borrow against it and risk losing it, although lots of people do!
I'd want to pay off the house ASAP, and go from there.
there's something in my brain that just doesn't like paying interest. must be the Scotch Irish part :D.

thanks Carl. I would never, except in a DIRE EMERGENCY borrow against my house if it was paid off. My folks lost a house that way :( I have been paying extra on my payment every month, to get it paid off sooner than 30 yrs. I'd also go with a 15 year mortgage. Not sure what interest rate I'd get, but it could be as much as 2% less...

    Read alot on that subject.
they always seem to tell you to take the 30 yr. mortgage, and double up on payments. that way if anything happens you have less of a payment on the 30 yr., but if everything stays OK, you will have pd. it off in 15 yrs.
gives a little wiggle room if something should change!
:notsure: but gives you something to think about. It does make sense!

Sounds like you have a full plate Carl...always hated adjusting the valves cause of the mess the oil leaves...but like they say, "if you want it done right, do it yourself". I don't know how many hours I spent getting it right until I was happy with the way it ran...those were the days...Ken

I used to bump the engine until the valve I needed to adjust was in the correct position. Not as much mess that way. Seems like I always had one valve ticking after 100 miles of operation. I had cork valve cover gaskets to make it real easy to remove the valve covers.

    morning all:
always have do that on initial adjustment, after that I've always gone over them while running. I know that's another option, and less of a mess.
these old habits are hard to change!

 I was thinking that very thing.... interest rate on 15 yr are usually a little less :notsure: I just started thinking about this the other day, when thinking it would be super nice to have a screened porch

We refinanced once, in 2004 to have the house sided and some new windows put in. We did home equity, and doubled up on montly payments. Our home will be paid off in less than a year, then we work on a car payment. After that, we are looking forward to Medicare and retirement. Susan, life is short, I think you deserve a nice screened in porch. Do it!

 Thanks for the vote Paul.

I'm looking at this two ways.... one - I would love a screened porch and if I re-finance, well, I'll be financing less than I originally financed and the interest rate is a lower. Two - not sure how long I will stay here, and it should help with the sale.
