Thanks, dude! (All the cool kids are doin' 35s. lol ;))

Good to know on the CVs.. Honestly, I don't think I'll bother with a diff drop, but I'll look into the boot slide mod for sure! Have you done the boot slide mod? I pretty much only lock the hubs when I air down for a trail.... and make sure they're unlocked before heading back home. I never drive around town or highway with them locked....

For the $30 diff drop, i would do it. It will lower it enough to help save your cv's

The boot slide mod is pretty easy. The way i did it was i removed the inner retaining clips that hold the boots to the shaft, then just grabbed a hose clamp, grab the boot and stretch it in towards center and clamp it down hard. Done.

Yup, I dropped the dough on an ARB air locker... kind of wish i had taken advantage of my manual hubs and just put in a lockrite, like you said... but the ease of a push button locker up front is kinda nice. :)
Is that all the boot slide mod is? lol i hadn't really looked into it.... what happens when your at full lock/full droop? you can't slide it too much, because you need that play so it doesn't just tear open. About how much do you slide the small end down the shaft?

hahaha I see what you're saying. the black is the shadow on the underside of the wheel and the cover is camo.... so maybe it's blending in to the brick or something. haha
GET SUM  Bummer, man..... well hopefully we can go wheeling sometime soon!

Nice video, I always love obstacles like that, but I always take the hard route (I probably would of tried either to left side or the right side) :p

Meh.. I want a crawl box too, but I've learned to drive around it... Easy does it ;)

 Thanks, man! I loved every second of that climb!! Especially after the wheel stand, then slamming the slider on the left, then rotating on the slider! I was like :yay: :burnrubber: My first line was further to the left because I didn't want to hit it at too much of an angle but I couldn't get any traction with both lockers on/4lo/12-15 psi each tire.... :notsure: started slipping to the left (15' drop) and backed down to try another line (which is what you see in the video) I bet you could have made it up though. Wish we lived closer.... I would love to see you truck in action!!!!

You're close enough to other more effective SAS tacomas...Believe me..

Air that shit down to 10... Maybe even 8 rear. You may get away with 8-9 Fr, 7 back. Tires hold well on rocks, at least mine did.

And somehow i knew you were going to say air down lower! lol  i will try next time... i just need to be careful because i'm running a 9" wide rim. I regret not gettin 8" or 8.5" wide... but ah well... 9" isn't super wide...
