What are your thoughts on the OME package so far?

 

Love it so far. For what I do which is easy to medium off road use it has been more than capable of doing the job. Also rides extremely well on the pavement which I didn't think it would. I highly recommend it.

Are you thinking of getting the OME?

Hey thanks Sean. It's coming along slowly lol. Got a few more goodies for it the last couple of days (nothing major) and hope to get some armour over the summer to maybe tackle a few tougher trails. Not a hardcore trail runner but better safe than sorry. Thanks again.

 

Yes, I have been on the fence for a while. Leaning towards 885's no spacer (Double cab) with Dakar leaf pack. Getting a lot of mixed opinions on whether UCA's are recommended for this setup. Great looking truck, I am glad to hear you are happy with the setup.

 

Hey Ross I think you got the right set up. As for the UCA's I was in the same boat. Some said you need them and some say you don't. You can always get them later if you have any issues but I decided to just go ahead and get them. Good luck and looking forward to your build.

Some tiny additions ordered:

E-locker guard.
Oasis tire deflators.
And thanks to Spoonman I ordered some quick fists clamps.

Pictures when it all gets here.

Next is either IFS Skid plate or sliders. Have not decided yet.

The tire deflators and E-locker I got through the Gear Shop here. Good prices too.

Just had a thought Ian (does not happen often) If you consider ordering something from the Gear Shop maybe someone can drop it off on their way out to Whipsaw. Save you some money on shipping. Or you can always see if anyone is heading out that way. I might be heading that way in August. I will let you know if I do and then if you order something I can pick it up for you and drop it off. Free shipping is always nice eh?

So just got a few goodies for the truck. Nothing major but happy still the same

Radio for the trail runs with local club

Tire deflators

E-locker guard (still in plastic as I don't want to lose the bolt)

Quick fist clamps so my shovel is not bouncing in the box

 

Can i ask how much the tire deflator was through the Gear Shop?

 

It was 63 total after tax.

No I won't be able to make this months trail run but I am hoping to make the one in July.

 

Installed my E-locker guard. Wondering if anyone else has installed one on their Tacoma? I purchased the Allpro E-locker guard and it came with a longer bolt. I thought it was maybe to replace one that was down there but when I replaced the shorter bolt it would hit the dif so I am not sure. I put back the origional bolt even though it is a little shorter and was able to turn it at least three times. Any input on what I might of done wrong would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
