That's what everyone thinks, but it's actually lighter than stock. I'm at 4000 lbs combat loaded. The weight is just better distributed now, the CG is under the driver seat. There is more weight out back than stock by a few hundred pounds, the battery and two spares being the bulk of the weight.

    Question For the Gurus,
What is the best shock lenght for F67 12" shackles?

also looking for ideas on how to make a one piece front clip tilt open forward with or without the lights. can anyone share some pics?

    Thanks

Most guys run 16" Shocks In the rear, some run 18" but they're usuaully almost completely vertical.

Why do you want "tilt" a one piece clip? (just curious).

The shocks depend on the angle you install them at. Those springs will pull 18" easy, so the most efficient shock would be an 18" stroke at 1:1 ratio. Most guys run 16's tilted toward the cab 15* or so. The clip...why hinge it? It will just be in the way when working on it and the wind will always blow it over. Just do hood pins.

I have it Pinned right now, but for quick access inspection was thinking pins near the windshield and pin hinge by the bumper. have to fab light mounts and bumper. so gathering ideas. for rear shocks i have 14"s

Thats what I have. What most people dont mention is you want to give the shock a little bit of play on each side too. Meaning if you mount perfectly 1:1 at 18" of travel on an 18" shock and you miss your mount by 1/2" your going to destroy your shock. I tilted mine slightly forward and gave myself about a 1/2" and each end of the travel so Im using about 17" of the 18" shock, Id rather be safe than sorry.

    Also you know about 52.5"?

Search Off Road magazine's website for a Black Widow Tundra. It had a one piece that hinged forward with the HL iirc. I'm at work/on my phone so I can't look it up properly.

when you do this on a bypass make sure you use as much of the bump zone as possible
