another thing is being able to accept squeezing the trigger on someone if you MUST. You can have all the training in the world, but hesitation kills.

I suspect less survival scenarios will encounter this than people think, but yes, in a kill or be killed situation, hesitation isn't good. Neither is not knowing how to shoot or not knowing how to patch up holes

Tampons. Seriously, they work great for the holes a 7.62x39 makes. While we're on the subject: medical kits. What do you have? I have an abundance of trauma stuff but today found a fat tick on my dog and realized I didn't have much bug juice or "comfort" meds. Or dental stuff either (temp fillings) So what do you have and where to get it? Also as a good tip you can get many "prescription" antibiotics and the like from feed stores. Yes it's meant for ponies, but when you have an infection and no doc you'll gladly stick yourself with it. Same stuff, just cheaper.

used to carry a tampon in my IFAK and 6-7 on any giving day in the CLS bag and WALK bag. the definitely do work, saw a video to prove it. thank god never had to use them though. Medics were on hand whenever we needed them

I've pieced together a "ifak" of sorts for the truck and a Med bag section of my bug out pack (which needs tp be repacked, friends like to borrow junk)

    Idk about dental fillings ha

    Found some. http://www.chasedentalsupply.com/cavit4tubes-7gtubes-20box.aspx
I have an ifak mounted to the cage in the taco, a larger bob with more supplies in the back seat (err.. Where the back seat once was) and a dedicated combat life taker bag in the gun room. Maybe I need to do some cross loading like you outkast, and make each kit more mission specific. Oh I forgot about the stuff I have in my dirtbike bag too...

No kidding! I actualy Fixed my AR last night. My psa got a little squished in the vice when it was being assembled. the upper reciever was really tight and didnt let the BCG slide as easily as it should (air force CATM's guy helped me...) so I swapped it out for a aero precision upper reciever.

Lots done to/for the truck -- will take a bit of time to go into too much of it but just did get a Big Sky single roof mounted rifle rack for my S&W M&P AR-15...EOTECH optic and Surefire 900A integrated light/grip. I am very happy with the build of the rack - the rifle will not live there but only go when I feel the "need." You can see the top of the seat mounted MOLLE panel and the empty portion of a headrest mounted FAK that is mounted on a velcro pull away.

I had wanted to do a rifle rack for some time but wanted to stay away from the "easy rider rifle rack" and wanted a cleaner and more professional looking installation.

Thanks for the kind words!! I am encouraged by them and inspired by what others do. This is a special thread - whether it's zombies, SHTF or escaping a monster flood our trucks are an extension of our beliefs & preparation.

Beavis - yes!! I find West Coast Armory a good place -- will you be at the Mod Day this Sunday?? And thanks -- not a lot of AR's & CB's in the "for the children" and "green" Bellevue.... :)

Outkast - love those seat covers - have been checking them out for some time -- great looking rig/rack...hard to beat a shottie!!
