Sorry if this has been covered before...Just and FYI, the 2012's headrests fold. So if anyone with a 2005-2011 wants folding headrests just order the 2012 headrests. I know when I had a 2009, I hated that the headrest created horrible blind spots, but I hated to take them out because I needed them sometimes for passengers in the back. Well when I bought my 2012, to my surprise, I saw that the headrests on the taco now fold. There is a little lever on the side that engages the fold down function. Now I can see and leave the headrests on place. If I still had an 09 I would order the 12 headrests and put mine up for sell on CL, eBay and here. Here are a couple pics.

yup, much easier to see when they are folded down.

Having only ever driven a 2012 Tacoma, I can't even imagine people drive around with un-folded rear headrests. It is pretty amazing it took this long for that feature. I wonder how many people just take them out for visibility?

Just remove the head rests when you fold the seats down. On the backside of the seat (that you sit on) there are little holes for the headrest shafts to slide in.

I removed mine on my 2011 DC, but I store them behind the rear passenger seats in the storage box in case I ever have people riding in the back. They all fit back there fairly nicely but still leave room for other smaller stuff if you use that area for other storage.

Those headrests are a pain- drove me crazy, hated that they only folded down part way, the blind spots, etc. Took them out and I am so happy now...:):)
