So I was a cop. A fellow cop wanted to show me his new gun. He gets it and we look at it. (glock gen 4) He's like "this is the first gun in the world to have a dual recoil spring!". I inform him that my Walther pps has one and it's not new. We step to my truck, in the sheriffs office parking lot, and start taking the two guns apart. As I am putting my personal gun back together, another guy comes over to tell me about the new glocks and the new springs. I go to take mine back apart to show him that it isn't new and the gun won't come apart. (I had already put one in the chamber) I have the slide stuck, because of the one in the chamber so a strike the rear of the slide to try and knock the slide off... And I slapped the firing pin into the live round. Bullet goes thur the seat, the weather techs in the floor and right into the tranny. It was a hollow point an didn't go into the tranny. I drove my Tacoma with a bullet hole, never got it fixed, and had to do a full blown report with the S.O. And explain to my Captain.

So 5 years as a Deputy Sheriff, shot in the top gun comp twice, made SWAT, and the only thing I've ever shot was my own truck..

The inmates would find out about and give me a hard time. I'd always tell them - "I shot my own truck.. And I love that truck.. So you better know I'll shoot you too"
