I've played since I was 4, was captain of the rep team for 5 years, played in the mens league since I was 17. injuries are catching up with me though, partially tore ligaments in my right knee in November (indoor), tried to come back and reaggrevated my knee a few weeks ago. :(

That sucks. My ankles are what has taken a beating with soccer. I tweaked my right ankle again tonight. Trying to do a move my cleat stuck on the ball and i ended up twisting my right ankle. Nothing major, but i don't recover like i used to anymore.

I'm also WAY out of condition to play soccer. I need to get some of my conditioning back before fall if i think i'm going to play.

I could probably play if I wasn't so competitive, but if I can't play to my ability I would rather not play at all.

I know it will drive me nuts to go play with the adults if i can't keep up because i'm out of shape.

I would love to, but my knees have taken a trip south so I don't do any running anymore :( I miss running.... Some days it's very painful to even walk

when I'm confident I can play without reinjuring my knee I might just play coed, the pace is slower than mens league.

We don't get enough people to play so it is just a coed league. They have 3 levels and I think i'll opt for level 2. Definitly not in condition for Level 1.

in years past I almost felt bad playing coed. I've got a pretty good shot (KO'd a couple goalies in my day), most girls just cower when I fake a shot.

I was impressed with some of my 13 year olds shots. My hands were stinging after blocking a few of them. If i can keep it down, i have a decent shot. I played mostly defense in HS so my kicks are typically long and high not low and hard.

Played with a Porsche today. Nothing is as sexy as launch control with a dual clutch gearbox.
