i been up there with just a lift on and i had no issues a few years back, just stick to the main trail

last i heard you can make it to tree line fine, but there are some LARGE snow drifts that might stop you before the lake...

Well I would like to go up there and if I had to hike a mile to get to the lake that's fine. I am not stuck on that trail though. I just want a destination to hang out at for a while.

Well I just got the go-ahead for a trip this Sunday. I'm in a stock DCLB so if I'm limiting the group on where we could go I can make other plans, but I would love to go.
I guess I'm not totally stock, I added about 60whp when I dipped my badges
    Lemme know
P.s. I just looked at bill Moore on trail damage.com and it looks fun! Would you do red elephant and mill creek too?

The earth moves slower when you are in a land boat. :p
Red Elephant and Mill Creek- highly suggest sliders and skids. Oh and unless you good at building highways a winch would be really handy. :D

Well then I shouldn't go on those two just yet, hopefully my brother and I can design/build/install some sliders by the end of the summer. So is bill Moore gonna be cool for me?

I wouldn't mind trying to get to Bill Moore even though last week they said it couldn't be done. I would hike the remainder if it wasn't too far..... Meet at the Starbucks in Downieville as stated on TrailDamage @ 9:00 - 10:00am.

It's not looking good for me anymore. I know the details so if I can make it I'll be there. If you guys figure out more closely than 9-10 please post it on here.

I might be able. I'm a bit nervous, I don't want to mess up my truck or get stuck not being able to get around with the DCLB (she is pretty long). Is it pretty safe? I read the trail damage description and it says good for a more difficult challenge for a stock vehicle, but I have little driving experience wheeling.

I have never been there so I don't want to make promises. If you go you can always turn around if you get uncomfortable. There's no shame in that.
