    PA's list of eligibilities:
    Is blind;
    Does not have full use of an arm or both arms
    Cannot walk 200 feet without stopping to rest;
    Cannot walk without use of, or assistance from, a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, wheelchair or other assistive device;
    Is restricted by lung disease to such an extent the person forced (respiratory) expiratory volume for one second, when measured by spirometry, is less than one liter or the arterial oxy tension is less than 60 MM/HG on room air at rest;
    Uses portable oxygen;
    Has a cardiac condition to the extent the person functional limitations are classified in severity as Class III or Class IV according to the standards set by the American Heart Association;
    Is severely limited in his or her ability to walk due to an arthritic, neurological or orthopedic condition;
    Is in loco parentis of a person specified in one of the above mentioned disabilities

    Oh and loco parentis means "in place of parent" which in this case means if you are in care of a handicap person... So you yourself, do not have to be handicapped to actually have a handicap plate.

    That was kind of my thought. If you need a special parking spot closer to the building then how to you pick up a fallen bike, back it out of a parking space, or wrestle with it in general? It's not like a car that has 4 wheels, and forward and reverse gears. A car won't tip over on you in a parking lot, or require arm strength to keep it upright while riding. If you can do all of those things, how can you not park where everyone else does? :confused:

    Drop the passenger off at the door and go park. Problem solved. You don't need a special plate for that.

    That's like handing out a special plate so you can park closer when you go get groceries so you don't have to carry them as far when you could have someone pull the car up front for you.
