This is meant more to share the funny, lucky and sticky situations you have been in or seen others in. Preferably the ones that make you go :mad: or .

I saw this one today. Its sad to see this happen to a fellow tacoma owner.

Bahaha, I bet that truck is fine. Maybe a nick on the bumper. Sucks that it happened, but I would think the Ford took all the damage.

Ouch! I got hit at a stop light by a guy going 30MPH. It doesnt sound like much but all I can say is you should see the other guy. I had to pry the door open and hold it for him while he squeezed out of the passenger side. The driver door wouldnt even open. He totaled his little Mazda, my Chevy and pushed me into another car

If it was my truck I would have got out and the first thing out of my mouth would be "you shouldn't have been standing there" :D

Yeah, his minivan was missing a whole side, the Coilover and wheel separated from the car. We were then tboned into a lady in a jeep that ended up going about 300ft down the road and halfway over the crash barrier. Totaled all three cars as well. I just checked my pictures and I dont have any good ones of the damage

Totaled back in 07. Dude failed to yield while trying to make a left turn into oncoming traffic (aka ME). It was my first new car too, Lexus IS300 bought in 2003.

A few years back, Me and my girlfriend (now fiance') had just bought a 2008 Scion XB (no Homo) to use as a commuter car. We had the car for literally 8 hours and were going out to eat when we got rear-ended at a redlight. I saw the accident coming in my rear view mirror, had enough time to jerk the wheel to the left to avoid the car in front of us. We got hit at approx. 45-50 mph by a Ford Explorer. The driver was a 16 year old hill-billy chick who claims she sneezed twice and lost all bodily control. She forced the XB thru a median and into oncoming traffic...thankfully everyone around us stopped and helped us out and offered their business cards as witnesses. The XB was totalled, her Explorer was totalled and there was minor damage to the car in front of us, because my front pass. fender caught the rear drivers side as we were pushed forward. My girl started crying afterwards, she was like "we only had that car for a day".....Worst part was her insurance put me in a crappy Dodge avenger rental for a month. But thanks to that, I got a new Tacoma and she ended up with a Solstice GXP.

Head on at 55mph each. Other drivers fault. Poor old '94 Toyota. Seat belts but no air bags. No one died.

I rear ended another Camry this last Wednesday. There was already another accident up ahead when I passed an Accord to my left. The fucker stopped in the middle of the street and was just sitting there watching the accident scene. I probably took a sec or two to see what the hell he was doing and by the time I had my head facing forward again, the Camry in front of me had stopped. I was probably driving around 20-25MPH when the accident occurred. It's unbelievable how much damage the accident inflicted on my truck and not that much to the Camry. Damn cheap ass Toyota plastic bumper!

Still recovering from my motorcycle accident from last July 5th 2011. T-boned a 2010 Challenger that failed to yield at a 3 way (I was on the straight away with no stop, he pulled out in front of me) I was on my 05' Yamaha R6. Hit his driver front wheel and did no damage to his car. Sent me flying like superman over his hood and landed shoulder first. Had surgery for a torn tendon and bicep inflammation (Torn glenoid labrum with biceps tenodises) I started PT and all the pain came back. Had my third MRI last week and I will find out next Friday if I need a second surgery or not.

3 weeks shy of 1 year now and I still cant work. Been on disability which is killing the mod budget for my taco. Have about 50% motion in my left arm right now (luckily I'm right handed). Worst part of this whole thing is a was about to get my criminal justice degree and go to the police academy. But now everything is om hold. And if I don't recover 100%... then 6 years of school down the drain because no PD will hire a cripple.

Bike was about $1600 in damages and already fixed. May be selling pretty soon if I can't start working again soon.

    Ok, I'll add mine.

    1. In 2008, I was driving my motorcycle to work.

And while passing through a green light, this goof in a blazer turns left into me. Broke my leg, cracked 8 ribs, totaled the bike. Kept my leg, but was 6 months or so before walking unsupported.

Before this, I'd never been in anything more serious than a minor fender bender. Never had a broken bone, never rode in a helicopter, never spent the night in a hospital. Wound up doing all in one day....and I didn't even get to look out the window during the flight!

    2. That Nov. driving back from visiting the folks in MS, the wife and I are driving through Tuscaloosa, AL, and come over a hill on the freeway...crash up ahead and everybody's at a stand still. We get stopped, but the guy behind us plows into us and totals the wife's car.

    3. We have to rent a car to get back to SC from AL, and while driving through Augusta, GA, some chic decides she's going to pass a dump truck while still on the on ramp. We're in the passing lane, and she comes all the way around the truck, and sideswipes us in the rental car.

That Christmas, we were flying out to visit my in-laws in NM...my office had a pool going on where the plane was gonna go down.

    4. I buy my first Tacoma in 2011. I have it for a total of 3 weeks before some redneck chic in Scottsboro, AL pulls out into my lane while I'm doing 65 down the freeway with a semi behind and to the right of me. I clear her enough so her front end catches me in the rear left, but that spins me around and the semi catches me in the front. I'm just along for the ride at that point and my brand new taco gets crumbled.

The worst one I have seen was a 2 car, head-on collision on the highway. Some lady committed suicide by car and drove up the wrong way on the highway, collided with a minivan with 4 little girls and 2 moms. Both drivers were killed on impact, the others were airlifted to the hospital. There was barely anything left of the Focus and the mini van stood up pretty well to the impact of both cars doing 65-70.
The focus is the crumpled up mess on the right. Collided so hard the 2 moms and kids in the mini van spun around.

Another wreck I witnessed and had there not been a light pole, I would have been killed no doubt involved a drunk driver coming off the highway in a saturn. He veered off the exit ramp, went through a small field, down a dip and got airborne, his oil pan caught the concrete post of a light pole, knocked the light over and his rear end swung out, hard hat in back flew out the window and across 4 lanes. I blocked 2 lanes off with my car and had the FD dispatched while I made sure the scene was safe. Once I got within 5 ft of him, I could smell the alcohol. He was partially ejected from the car and was hanging out the window by his hips and the only thing keeping him from dropping on his head was his legs being pinned between the steering wheel and dash. His head went through the window so his scalp was split from his left eyebrow to the back of his right ear. There was another off duty medic on the scene within minutes and helped me out. then the dumbass tried to fight the medics and firefighters that showed up.

Flipped my CRX and hit a freeway light pole at freeway speeds thanks to a very 'well known' tire shop that bent my rim while mounting my new Nitto 555's. The tire came off during a sharp bend on the freeway and I lost control of it and hit a giant metal light pole. Flipped the car head over heels 3 times.

I WALKED away from this accident.

the luckiest wreck ive been too. old toyota tacoma i think it was a early 90 or something tacoma. coming down I95 doing 70 and a 18wheeler doing 40 came across the ramp and into his lane. Tacoma rear ended the trailer. the ass end of the trailer was past the cab of the pickup. we cut the door off the pickup and the guy got out. just a scrape from glass. another 6in and he would have been toast.

worst ive seen. once again on I 95. traffic at a dead stop due to construction. 18 wheeler carrying a load rear ends a mini van with a family of 5. plowed them into the woodline. there was nothing left of the minivan. 3 didnt make it.

I was NB, inside lanes on New Circle Rd. (Route 4) in Lexington, KY. There was a dune/offroading buggy right in front of me who I guess thought he was a hot shot. He decided to pass a guy who was in the left lane by driving halfway into the ditch on the guy's left side and go around him. Being on the inside lanes of the highway and the angle of the ditch (I guess) pulled the buggy into the cable fence and the vehicle literally disintegrated.
