I'm not spending any money on my 98 front... so I'm gonna slowly acquire parts for my 95-97 swap

Debadging is much easier when your truck is sitting in the hot blazing sun.

And don't do it for me... do it for yourself! If you're not doing it for yourself, then you gotta do it for Johnny man... for Johnny

My rear diff has been leaking pretty bad since Moab due to mashing it up a bit on Cliffhanger. I decided to finally pull the third and try to re-seal everything tonight. Only problem is that when I pulled of the drums I discovered that one of the axles seals is leaking. Sooooo, I put everything back together and just topped off the gear oil... I'm gonna have to order an axle seal from Toyota on Monday... :( Might as well pull everything out at once, right? I was also hoping to order a heavy duty pinion seal from Marlin for my 8" since that has been leaking since I re-geared :anonymous: lol but I can't seam to find one for the 8" rear... ??? Anyone have the link or knowledge about this? All I could find was this: http://www.marlincrawler.com/differential/parts/heavy-duty-pinion-seal and maybe that'll work too, i just don't know. I may just have to replace it with an OEM seal since it appears to be out of stock anyway.... :(

I haven't used any regular spray paint for the truck yet. What's a decent one? And is self-etching primer okay to use?

I don't think you need self-etching primer. Probably overkill. Just a good primer for better adhesion.

I'd also clean it real well. I like the prep wipes duplicolor makes. (just wear some protective gloves when using it... my skin turned white and peeled off)

I really like the results of the Rustoleum spray paint for plastic. Let it cure for a few days and it's tough as nails.

Just rip that sway bar off. With the coilovers you don't even need it. Plus it will ride a lot better offroad without it.

I have had mine off for 5 years
