    This is one way of doing it!

    I prefer to just write 1's and 0's to the entire hard drive then nothing is left but 1's and 0's.

    I'd say the plastic'll melt at 300-325 degrees. But Aluminium's gonna get you to around 1200 degrees F.

    Chris,

    Thermite Burns at 3990 F does not explode most of the time if used correctly and it isn't a bullet :} Just Saying bet you could google the steps to make it or even find a video on line lol . If someone chooses to play with thermite DO NOT DO IT ON CONCRETE IT WILL EXPLODE CONCRETE!! The platters are made out of Alum and Ferrite though some are glass. The Alum and Ferrite will melt at approx 2530 F and the glass at approx 3150 F so either or will be a very shiny puddle in seconds ...And for even more useless info At 107.6 F, the proteins of the body start coagulating. At 120.2 F, the human skin starts burning; Bones start to burn at approx 1800 F. Cremation is done at about 1800 F to 1950 F. A nice plasma cutter works too but not near as dangerous though I would not suggest the flip flops LOL. Of course you could go the other way and get some liquid nitrogen dip it and drop it again though flip flops not recomended.:}

    Cypher

    Disclaimer I recomend none of the above and if you do it your on your own !! :}
