Last week in Chattanooga Tennessee I saw one of these "restored" cars go up in flames at a gas station. Fire originated out of the engine.

It was closed because most ranges are closed on Monday. Also, I made it to Mexico and am having a good time. See y'all on Friday.

I'm sorry to hear that Keith. How's he doing? And I know I'm still new and all, but if you need anything, I'll help as much as I can.

At the dealership right now.....crank seal is bad.

I have 59,948 miles on the truck. Turns out the crank seal is covered under the power train warranty....which ends at 60,000 miles.

Good thing you went in before the 60k mark. Any idea how much it would have cost without warranty?

No idea how much it would be out of pocket. I have the 100k mile extended warranty but what I didn't know is that you have to get the service done at the dealer that sold you the warranty. In my case that would be Texas Toyota of Grapevine. The guy here (Toyota of Plano) said that if I wanted him to honor the 100k mile warranty I purchased it would be $100. This wasn't money he would get but money that would go straight to the other dealer.

Long story short I told him that for what it would cost me in gas and my time it was worth the $100 to have him fix it. He came back 5 minutes later and told me I was still covered under the normal power train warranty. So it works out better for us both. :)

Getting them to put on a new belt (might as well) and change the oil while they're in there.

It's the end of my power train warranty and I'm going out with a bang.
