    Agreed, that looks terrible. One suggestion is you could paint over the plastidip, to a color you prefer.

    That gives you the flexibility to remove it later on, but have a closer color match.

    is there a way to mask off the toyota emblem? and also do you have to take the wheel off to do it? or can you do it on the truck?

    Greenbergler yes I would say you need to take the wheels off as you are basically painting them. Also I made sure that the part of the wheel that actually touches the hub was covered so it didn't get painted/Plastidipped


    The only way I can think of keeping the emblem chrome, would be to put tape over it cut out the shape.

    I didn't mask mine. Just spray the centercap with 3-4 coats and let it dry for an hour or so. Once you're sure its dry scatch the face of the emblem with a toothpick or your fingernail to get the plasti dip to tear. After you get a tear in it slowly peel it off of the emblem and it will break cleanly at the base.

    When I eventually add fiberglass fenders I'll probably end up plasti-dipping the entire tacoma (desert sand micah) matte black. Before anyone starts flaming me, take a look at dipyourcar.com and watch their youtube videos. If their willing to plasti-dip their entire 2011 Audi S4 then I'm not too worried about it fucking anything up and if it ends up looking shitty I can just peel it off and only be out a couple hundred bucks.
