Hey yall, new at this, but i need some recommendations on what type of wheels and tires to put on my 12 yoyo. I want black wheels and a good looking tire. My first 06 yoyo had all the extras when i bought it new. My 12 yoyo needs some add ons…. if you no what i mean… so any ideas will be appreciated i already plasti dipped my factory wheels and that made a big difference and it was a cheap idea… but i keep seeing these nice aftermarket wheels and tires and it drives me crazy..lol ..thnks

No clue, guessing it's new slang for our Toyotas? Kids. OP you'll get further on this site and people will be more willing to help you; plus you won't get flamed so much, if you just type/speak normally, (yo).

Welcome from GA. Just have to be careful about the back spacing for these trucks. There are plenty of threads on here about this.

No prob, Just so ya know I didn't mean to come off like a dick, there's a lot of trolls on TW. It sends up red flags when guys post in the New Member forum asking about wheels and tire options for their yoyo. There's tons of options for our trucks. I'm running 16" TRD FJ Rims with Geolander All-Terrains. A popular tire a lot of guys run are BFG KM2's and Cooper Discoverer STT. If you like Black rims check FN Koning Countersteers they are very popular or the Ballistic Jester's in Black.
You should post up some pics of your rig in the Wheel forum.... It would give some 2012 guys some ideas on Plasti-Dipping their rims.

Did you just plastidip over the lug nuts while they were still on the truck?

Well the first side i did, i took the wheels and tires off and tape them and sprayed it all separate. The other side i left them on and sprayed them. Putting the first side back on the lug nuts got messed up turning the lugs. So i had to redo them all on that side. So it was easier doing them on the truck. I took paper towels and folded them and put them in the spaces to cover the brake disc. Its cheap and it makes a big difference. And also i sprayed my emblems also, but i took it off. They where wet still so it did'nt look good, so i'm going to redo them later. So if you get it on the truck it peels off fairly easy.

Does the tire iron fit on the lugs with the plastidip on there? Or if you get a flat are you going to have to peel the dip of the lugs on the side of the road?
