Looks like the Kings are gonna hoist the Cup , and deservedly so with their run through the Playoffs , but even you have to admit this is a joke of a game

The major penalty was terrible and gifted the Kings 3 goals , and Scuderi is back on the ice

 

Only call that I think was missed is the hit on Gionta, which to be honest I don't believe was worthy of anything. Looked to me like a simple check, nothing that bad, maybe because Gionta is small it looked bad and since right after, Bernier decided to take out Scuderi, but if you disregard the fact that Bernier got the 5 min major right after, do you really think Stoll deserved a penalty? The rest of the calls were fine, what did you have a problem with? Carter's rough on Quick? The double minor for the high stick (w/ blood) with King? Yeah the penalty minutes might be lopsided, but New Jersey looks like they deserved their calls, and I dont mind the call on Penner just because everyone seems to be complaining Kings are getting away with stuff.

 

So your saying penalty should only be assessed by injury? WOW and no the Kings weren't given those 3 goals, they scored them...

41.1 Boarding – A boarding penalty shall be imposed on any player or goalkeeper who checks an opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently in the boards. The severity of the penalty, based upon the degree of violence of the impact with the boards, shall be at the discretion of the Referee.
There is an enormous amount of judgment involved in the application of this rule by the Referees. The onus is on the player applying the check to ensure his opponent is not in a vulnerable position and if so, he must avoid the contact. However, there is also a responsibility on the player with the puck to avoid placing himself in a dangerous and vulnerable position. This balance must be considered by the Referees when applying this rule.

He had an ample amount of time to change his mind about boarding Scuderi, the puck was no where near Scuderi. I dont buy it. When Mitchell hit, i dont remember who against St Louis I believe, he put his arms out against the glass to prevent a violent collision with the STL player. Bernier had no intention to do that. 5 min major sounds right sorry
