    Steve's Dad is adamant that one should not weld to the frame of a vehicle. That it will dramatically weaken it. ( I think that was the story)

    I come from a construction family and many friends are mechanics and fabricators and never herd that welding reinforcing plates to a frame could in anyway weaken it hence the word "reinforcing".... Sorry ur dads giving u shit buddy... You have a badass truck and weld on sliders will only help

    He says if I bottom out on the frame after i weld to it that it will twist the frame which doesn't really make sense :confused: because that could probably happen if i landed on the frame hard anytime... but I can agree with him if it came to tractors or anything that had very long frames
