    I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
    FYI. Dealer will most likely rape you if this is not warranty repair. Just be prepared for heartattack :D

    My '09 was leaking a very small amount from the front crank seal. Oil was just "leaching" under the pulley, it was never bad enough to form drips.

    Dealership repaired it under warranty. It needed a new seal and a new crank pulley. The fit of the original was deemed to cause the leak, according to the dealership's explanation. That was 60,000 ago and I'm still leak free.

    I always expect the dealer to suggest a rape job. I'd be surprised if they didn't.

    At the dealership right now.....crank seal is bad.

    I have 59,948 miles on the truck. Turns out the crank seal is covered under the power train warranty....which ends at 60,000 miles.

    I know what you mean exactly. I had to get my rear seat replaced and labor alone was $1000. Now I need a new serpentine belt and idler wheels and I'm not letting the dealer touch anything.
    Its good that you can get this fixed under the warranty.
