I know! I had the third hand tool and I still had a hard time. Not sure if it was the iron getting too hot or the size of the tip. Yes, that is what she said...

I saw that one at Lowe's too but I didn't think it would get hot enough. I am now shopping on Amazon for one. :D

    Thanks for the link!

Thought about going that route but nobody I know around here has them.

EC5s are the shit. Here is were I'm fucked up, my 1/10 truck and buggy use Power Poles, my two planes and two 450 helis use Deans, my other smaller helis use JST connectors, and my new Durango uses bullet connectors.

Bless your heart, if you can solder anything with a gun you are the man. I'd rather have sharp stick in the eye as to be forced to use a gun.

That seems overkill to me - I'd probably melt the whole connector.

That's essentially what I did but it had been about 5 years since I had soldered anything. I honestly it was more the user than the tools. :p

Why not just convert them all?

I prolly should, but it's not a big deal. For everything but the JSTs (have a octopus for them) I just use tiny alligator clips for charging leads.

Smart. I never actually use the alligator clips on my charger. I guess I forget they're even there.

Most of my parts came in for my new stampede, got it mostly together, still a few things to put on. Just rough cut the body, still gotta trim it and mount it, thinking about just throwing bed liner on it so im not worried about scratching it if I did a decent paintjob..

I ran half a battery yesterday, but the track was dry as a bone, so it was kinda hard to really tell anything.

They also had the Sc10 GT for 320, which I probably would have bought if my wife wasn't there. The gt 10 looked pretty bad ass too
