    Did German volume training on deadlifts today, 225. Great way to kick off back day. I have a pretty new/good drive to meet my goals by August 1st when I'm going to start applying!

    And slow down, I used to go fast benching and it blasted my shoulders and tri's. Now I go slow with less weight and contract my pecs.

    It's GVT low rest chest day for me....gonna do my isolation exercises first as my tri's usually tire out before my pecs, looking to get to the same fatigue at the same time.

    Thanks for all the info.

    When doing your 10x10's are you lifting moderate weight? Where you would probably be failing at 12-15? Or is failure at 8-10?

    What's your rest time between sets (10x10)?

    Use a weight that you would be struggling with at around set 5 and failure on set 10. Yesterdays bench was 100lbs and 20 second rest. I keep my rest times under 30 seconds.

    I'm doing P90X in the morning, on Week 5. Any suggestions for the Recovery Drinks and Protein Bars?

    Protein bars - I've been eating a variety of bars in the last 4 weeks.
    Drinks - Only the EAS Myoplex 42g so far

    From what I've heard, protein bars are mostly just calorie bombs and have quite a bit of undesirable filler

    Protein bars are good, when home made, they have a lot of sugar alcohols in them.

    EAS is.....far from the best. You're best option is get protein powder (Optimum Nutrition or iSatori Eat Smart) and make your own drinks.

    Its a little more expensive but also higher quality, but ON's Pro-complex is the freakin shit. :cool: one of the best proteins I have had.
