    The fenderwell lining on a first gen cuts nicely with a utility knife. 2nd gens may be different though.

    I have a 2nd Gen, and found a good solid box/utility knife cuts it easily.

    I trimmed out the stupid "cup" thing that hangs down, inner liner, and the thicker fender plastic. I found it was a good idea to do one side, then use the pieces you cut out as a template to trim the other side. Keeps it nice and symmetrical.

    I've stuffed the rubber pretty well since then, and have no chafing....err I mean rubbing! Rubbing!!!
