Nothing done on my Taco today, but I helped a buddy swap out both CVs on his FJ and install LR UCA's. Always good to learn something new.

Tired of airing up my airlift bags for the slightest extra weight. Just dropped my Taco at the dealership for TSBs.

 

Do it! It's easy, took about 20 min for both sides and the noise is COMPLETELY gone. It's like driving a new truck

 

Left mine in the driveway crippled


Pulled one coilover apart last night to swap springs. Will have to finish Friday. Hate when the truck is down.

 

Added "DEVIL HORNS" and Nerf step bars which are all black.

I put some new talights on the truck today, Found them on Clist for 35.00. They are like new and look better than the peeling ones that were on there. Took the front grill off and painted it to match the truck, what a day.. not the best paint job , but it will last until after we move..then get my Satoshi..

Diff breather mod - moved to behind gas door. Installed my Mustangwilly 2nd gen recovery loop and installed my rear King shocks. What a bear compressing these monsters. Fronts to come.

 

Those shocks are HAWT!

 

debadged it and contacted sockmonkey about yeti rescue bedside decals. woot!

 

Did you install the shock with the axle at full droop? Shouldn't be difficult then. I used a large flat blade screwdriver to lever the shock into the clevis fitting.

Did you set the compression adjuster to the softest setting before installation?

 

No, used a hydraulic jack with a piece of wood on top and raised it into place then with a dead blow mallet tapped it into the bracket - bingo.

Yes I did set them at the softest position.
