I am looking into getting a Alluminess bumper for my 06 Tacoma. Just want to know if any of you have ordered one and what you think about the process

Just so you know, Relentless Fabrication makes an aluminum plate bumper also and they are a vendor on the site. Not sure if you just like aluminess or want the weight savings over a traditional steel plate bumper.

I want weight saving because we go a lot of hunting on some rough roads and I dont want to have suspension problems. I also like the way that the aluminess bumper looks

Umm... Relentless Fabrication is a company, not a single entity person. I had it correct but thanks for trying. :)

Not that it really matters but... Relentless Offroad Fabrication is owned by Eric, and he pretty well hand makes everything himself. I think Randy just wanted to distinguish that it's not some large company, it's a sole owner/operator type.

Eric's a good guy. I was at his shop earlier today, he had some nice aluminum bumpers shipping out.

I also believe he can do a hitch in the front so you can mount a winch but that's something you might call and ask him about.

I don't know much about Aluminess though, but to be honest I'm not too fond of the looks. I'm sure it's quality stuff though.

His GF was feeling pretty sick I think so he was headed home to take care of her. I'd say shoot him a PM and if he doesn't get back to you just keep pestering him. :p

    Or try calling him tomorrow

I have not owned either but I have read everything I can find about them. Someday I will be switching to aluminum. Both are very high quality. Both are built by small operations although Relentless is basically one guy. I haven't heard a bad word about either bumper or builder. No way to go wrong. When I roll on this I'll probably go with Relentless because I like his designs and he is closer.

I have the relentless aluminum bumper. The bumper is good, but I dont recommend doing business with them. I believe demello just started with aluminum so you can give them a call if you like.

We've all seen your thread... I'd encourage OP to read the thread in it's entirety and make a decision based from there.

I've said it before, Eric is a stand up guy and he will stand behind his products, if you bother to contact him. FWIW he's local to me and I like his stuff, that's why his image is in my sig.

I'd love to say more but I don't want this thread to get locked too.

OP, to be honest, I'm not sure on Eric's current lead times but it is a matter of months, so if you're wanting something now Eric might not be the right choice. Still, I know Eric is doing a couple things to help shorten his lead times. Just saying.

Does anyone know how much the relentless bumper cost?

Here's the bumper on their website with pricing.
    http://relentlessfabrication.com/05tacomafront.html

If you're not in a rush, you might be able to get in on their next group buy and save some money.

Standard pricing for the aluminum version is $850 + Shipping and then it goes up from there depending on options you choose.

Any idea how long his build time is?

You'd have to call and talk to Eric. He is busy so leave a number for him to call you back. I'd imagine his wait time depends on the backlog of work he currently has. If he just got 5 orders yesterday, it could be a while or he could be looking for more work and could jump right on your build. They're custom built so it'll be longer than just calling up and ordering an ARB from an online store but the product will be solid.

Ok. I think I might land up going with aluminess. I think they are a bit more pricey but they can have one done in a month. Do you know if the piaa fog lights plug right into your factory harness or how does that work?
