I watched an in depth interview/field trip with Mitchell on this very topic from when he had just been traded to Vancouver. He is apparently an avid fisherman, and wants to help protect and bring attention a river he grew up enjoying. He is a character guy, I am happy that he got to drink from the cup as a champ.

Gonna miss Lappy, loved him as a King, he played with more heart that anyone. Sad to hear he's retired. Did he play at all this year for Philly or did he miss the entire season?

Yeah that vid of Quick will come back to bite him, but like you said he's young, he is intoxicated, and is high on emotions.

 

Aaaah shit, you guys are talking about Ian Lapierre. I thought Oz was referring to Maxim Lapierre before.Now this makes more sense. Ian has had a long and amusing career, though I always thought he looked more like a boxer than a hockey player.
