I'm pretty new to my Tacoma and driving.

I took my truck ( 07 Tacoma 4x4 PreRunner Access Cab ) and I took it to a trail up on mount soledad and I was hitting some little dirt hills and having some fun, I managed to drive it pretty well and it was a ton of fun but when I would hit the gas about half way, and then I would get closer to the little jump, I would hit the brakes kind of hard to slow down and my brake would be twitching almost really fast, is that because of the tires trying to grip and they are slipping due to being on dirt?
Also, I went there on Tuesday and did the same thing, but I had more people in the car and afterwards my steering felt kind of weird, almost as if it was responding better than what it was before I hit the jumps, not sure what that ment but alright! haha
Last but not least, 2007 tacoma's are built to take a lot of beating and handle a lot right? I want to make sure I can keep doing this and not mess up anything to major. I plan on doing just a few small mods in the future but no suspension or lifting, I just hope that the stock pre runner suspension can handle a lot of beating. Thanks, sorry to sound like a noob but I'm just trying to learn!

If you're hitting the brakes hard, it's probably the ABS kicking in (pulsating in the peddle).

Alright thanks for the help, I hit the brakes because I didn't want to hit the jump at a fast speed, so I took it as slow as I could so I wouldn't mess anything up.

Mine is called a Prerunner because it's 4x2, yours is a 4x4 Off Road or something like that but not a Prerunner.

Opps, I never realized it but I always thought that the " 4 " next to D was to put it in 4 wheel drive, but it's just 4th gear... wow

yeah..... whatever. The way your truck looks, the only offroading your truck has seen is if you accidentally backed into a flowerbed. haha. just messin' with you. Oh, and the bfgoodrich rugged trails have got to go. you might as well be on racing slicks.
