depending on what time the first game is, I may come up and camp. God knows there is nothing like a good steak cooked over a campfire, with potato's thrown in the hot coals! Not to mention icy cold beverages...

Fingers crossed for a late start time......

FYI, the GitOut forum will be out there, too. If you see them, welcome them over for a chat or etc. - excellent set of guys from the ones I've met!

    http://gitout.com/showthread.php?49...owns-camp)-Trails!&p=5002&viewfull=1#post5002

If the timeline doesn't work out for you, please note that they are leaving from the Glencoe McDonald's at 9:30. If you can't make our schedule, I highly encourage joining their forum and telling them you will join their caravan. Peter (venturer) is a highly skilled offroader and puts on excellent outings that are both safe and fun.

Trying to get a route planned, please chime in if there's a trail you want to do. This list is just a first attempt.

This first list should be suitable for about all of us, FB5 we will be optional for those that want to take it easier (it has an easy-to-get-to bypass)

    10 University Firepower
    13 Cedar Tree
    14 Firebreak 5
    18 Hog's Back
28 Archers main trail (options to stop to watch people on the harder parts while we go around, etc.)

    Extra trails:

Saddle Up (I've never done this one, don't know much about it?)
Rocky Uphill (if the weather cooperates I'm going to give it a try - I will win this one eventually!)
Ample & Alluring (haven't found it)
    Firefox (does it exist?)
Truck Dent (super awesome, but it's a bit far out there)

the lower part of rocky uphill mike...is that the one you turned around on last time we camped? If so i heard it got a little more open near the top. You might be able to do it, if not theirs always the other part of that trail just up the logging road from it.

upper... lower... I remember we argued which is which. I'm going to try figuring out by compass points this time :p

The part where I turned around - yes, that's what I want to accomplish.
First time was without a skid and I decided I didn't want to try more, plus you guys said it was a bad idea.
Second time was just too slick.
This will be the third attempt, but if it's too wet I'll just skip it.

There's the easier section which is fun and we can hit that as the beginning point of Archers.

    I see.. ok haha

On a food note. I'm looking at what I have and realize I ain't doing a big breakfast probably. We will see, funds will be rocked by fuel alone so extra just to est like a king may be hard. We will see tho.

1st game Saturday @ 11:30 AM in Hillsboro, so I am going to attempt to come up and camp Friday night, then leave Saturday morning. I will get the Steaks out of the freezer tonight, (ribeye and if I have any left, a couple of Tbones) I will likely bring 4-8 steaks. I will also stop and grab some taters.

Does anybody have a grill from a BBQ they can bring to cook the steaks on?

I will likely be there 6-7 ish. Who else will be there Friday night?

Ben, I can try to pick up those one-time-use grill things. No having to clean up, and IIRC, Brown's has recycling.

Yeah, that sounds good. The less cleanup the better.
