So, i am late to the party, but I figured I would join in anyway...

This past weekend I traded in my 95 Ex Cab Tacoma, and landed this beautiful 08 DCLB. My 95 was a similar (lighter) blue, so this one fit as a fitting replacement to the old gal (retired at 188k). This one has 61k, and i aim for over 200k with her..

Truthfully, the initial shopping phase was very frustrating, as dbl cab sb was all the dealers seemed to have... Given that i am not a fan of the sb, i was not about to settle. At the lot where i found her, the salesman said that their inventory showed none on hand... We walked around anyway, and there she was...

No mods yet, but i know i will have tons of fun in the near future...

I'm new to TW and just came across this Speedway Blue thread. I had a Speedway Blue 2008 DC TRD off-road Prerunner for 2-years. Only regret was not getting it in 4x4 since I go to the beach often. Traded it in for a Speedway Blue 2011 DC 4x4 TRD off-road. Love it! Just took it to the dealer this morning for the TSBs.My Tacoma.jpg

Just got wheels and tires installed. Wheels are 17" MB TKO's and got Hankook Dynapro ATM's 265/70/17. Here's a few before and after pics.

I know exactly what jump that is lolol. I hit that same one on my dirtbike, but i hit the middle area between your wheels.
Right across from edison camp ground right??

That other jump you hit if i remember correctly is pretty effing steep.

Hey NvrSumR - Good looking setup!

Mind sharing the specs on the wheels - backspacing, offset? And are you still on stock suspension?
    Thanks.

Do you have any trouble with road rash since the wheels/tires stick out?

I'm not a wheel spec expert, but this is what the guy at discount told me. 17x8.5 -6 4" backspace. Hope that helps.
