Got complete black set and complete silver set of center stack stuff.......dash trim with AC vents, oem stereo, clock/hazard & climate control panel. This gives me numerous monotone and mix/match options without having to paint....everything silver, everything black, all silver with black buttons on stereo & AC panel, all black with silver buttons on stereo & AC panel, silver dash trim with black center, black dash trim with silver center, black stereo with silver AC panel, silver stereo with black AC panel, etc etc etc...........here's pics of a few of the options.






All black shot is from my old 05 base model access cab & don't have current pic with black stereo & black AC panel with silver buttons in the 08 but I will get one later after it is lighter outside. I like having the color options and spare parts. Now if I could just score the black center console that looks like comes in the 2012s I'd have even more options, lol.............

 

I like the first two. My 08 just has too much silver. The two tone black & silver makes it look much better than just one color. May have to start trolling wrecking yards or buy a base setup off someone here. Thanks for the great idea.

 

Took the black face off the AC panel and put it on the silver panel so it has black face but has silver AC/recirc buttons. Also put the silver face back on the black AC panel so it has silver face with black AC/recirc buttons. Here's a pic of the current setup...........The silver vol/tuning knobs just weren't right for some reason, tried it but didn't like it.

 

Current look is nice.

 

Thanks, this is the one I've had in mind since starting to mix/match all this stuff. Tried the black dash piece with AC vents with both silver and black stereo setups but it just didn't seem to look as good as the silver outlined vents IMO.

 

Nope... looks good with the contrast. Ya did good.

 

I really like the last one. Now I need to find a black face plate & hvac control panel - or just not be a lazy ass & paint mine black.

 

I like that setup. I'd like to get a black stereo surround.

Where did you get the black cupholders from?

 

Thanks, when I traded my 05 base model access cab prerunner I had chance to swap out all the mods done to the 05 over to the 08. I had to swap the face plate under the AC vent on the left that had my USB port in it at the dealership the day we actually did the deal. The silver cupholders in the 08 had a coupla scratches and wanted more black in it so I just yanked the cupholders out of the 05 and put them in the 08. Both were 5 speed so same shape and all that.
