What did you do with the tweets in the front if you ran 6x9's?

Make some recommendations on 6x9's. The bestbuy here in Hoover has some great deals running right now on 6x9's.

    05 DC btw.

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
    Yep, get rid of them.

Here's prices from one of the places local to me. Typical store filled with salesman out to make a buck and installers watching the clock instead of their work, so it's not breaking my heart if you don't buy there. Just comparison prices for your benefit.

Any reason why Crutchfield shows that only 6.5's will fit in the front? Are there mounting issues with 6x9's???

Also, my local sound guy said that generally factory tweeters aren't horrible and can even handle an amp if desired. So just leaving them in isn't a bad idea.

we don't have factory tweeters in our 05+ tacos. it's more of a midrange woofer, and i doubt they would last long being amped...
