1998 ext cab rear speakers

Doesn't seem like a subwoofer is in my plans so I am wondering if anyone could recommend (relatively) affordable rear speakers for my truck that will supply a good amount of bass.

From my understanding the speaker size is either 5 1/4" or 6 1/2"

I'd really love to put a subwoofer in one of the storage cubbies, but I don't think that's going to happen.

well in the process of scrubbing out the back of the truck, I just had to see for myself, how much dust would be on ther speakers, well they were covered and rotted... anyway...... and sort of embarrassed to admit this but
I threw them away, went to WALMART and I was the no name brand, something like 27.99 for a pair of and I think 6.5 but they went right in and worked! they sound ok, the others did not work, so when I have more important done on the truck I might upgrade.

 

A affordable, but yet pretty good speaker in my opinion are Phoenix Gold's they have a pretty nice sound. The quality seems really nice for the price and I would choose these way before entry level Sony's and Pioneers.... Here is what they go for on Amazon... I hope this helps... and Keep in mind the Deck has a LOT to do with sound the total watts....
